Mongolian Gobi isn't empty sand same as Desert and it isn't too hot like desert. It has many beautiful sights, landscapes, oasis and wealth with flora and fauna. Mongolian Gobi is also better-known by its dinosaur findings. You can see the findings on its ground. We also have one unique thing to amaze you. By choosing our trip you can feel the winter fresh air from Gobi in summer time.
Travel itinerary.
Ulaanbaatar city - Khustai national park - Arburd sands - Baga Gazar rocks - Ongi monastery remains - Bayanzag/ Flaming cliffs/ - Tugrugin shiree - Khongor sands -Gurvan Saikhan mountains - Yol valley - Ulaanbaatar city.
Day 1. City tour
We'll meet you at the Chinggis Khaan airport and transfer to your hotel. After breakfast we begin city tour. Hotel overnight.
Day 2. To Khustai national park
Today we'll see Przewalskii's horse, called "takhi" by Mongolians and make a trek through the national park. Pick up at your hotel in Ulaanbaatar and drive southwesterly along the Tuul River and crossing the Tuul River, and drive into Hustai National Park. Overnight in Khustai tourist ger camp.
Day 3. To Arburd sands
Explore the immediate area of Arburd Sands. We may use camels or horses to trek or ride through the middle of the sand dunes. Overnight in Arburd tourist ger camp.
Day 4. To Baga Gazar rocks.
Drive to Dundgobi province to see Baga Gazar rocks and Sum Khukh Burd remains. Baga Gazar rock is a remarkable granite rock area with many archeological remains and rock paitings. It marked its Huns tombs. You'll see beautiful scenery with aspen grove. Overnight in "Dundgobi" tourist ger camp.
Day 5. To Ongi monastery
Drive southwesterly along the Ongi river to Ongi monastery. It was one of the biggest monastery of Central area. Now it's reconstructed and minister its theology. You'll know about Mongolian religion. Overnight in "Great Gobi" tourist ger camp.
Day 6. To Bayanzag /Flaming cliffs/
You can see the paleontological findings and the Flaming Cliffs during the sunset. When the light of sunset shine upon the cliffs, it look like burning. It's a one of the beautiful sceneries. Overnight in "Gobi Oasis 1" tourist ger camp.
Day 7. To Khongor sands
Drive through Tugrugin Shiree to Khongor sands. Tugrugin Shiree is the place which found dinosaurs egg first time. Khongor sands are one of the biggest oasises. When huffle the sands sound like plane fly off. We may use camels to ride through sand dunes. Overnight in "Duut Mankhan" tourist ger camp.
Day 8. To Gurvansaikhan mountain
It has many unique flora and faunas. We'll make a trek through the mountain. Overnight in "Juulchin Khanbogd" tourist ger camp.
Day 9. To Yol valley
We will explore this famous ravine, which
sometimes has permanent ice and snow. Bearded volture nest is here and you can see them flying over the ravine. When the ice and snow are solid or completely thawed, it is
possible to take a long hike through the entire length of the Yol Valley. In afternoon we'll drive to Dalanzadgad and catch our flight to Ulaanbaatar. Hotel overnight.
Day 10. To airport
We'll drive to Chinggis Khaan airport to your departure.
